I'm confused, you say you've gone to swing clubs and even Temptations but she doesn't know you would like to swing? How did you get her to agree to go to a swing club?
To answer your question, I think you are on the right track. If she is willing to go to a swing club that's a good start. She can see for herself how normal and nonthreatening the environment is. The more time you can spend there the more comfortable she will feel. Maybe one day you should work up the nerve to suggest "checking out" the playroom because you are curious. You never know...

We started the lifestyle by checking out a swing club as well. I was not particularly interested in the whole idea, I went because my husband bugged me for months. I was not open to the whole concept but I will say that when I met people in the club and saw how "normal" they were, it helped. We became friendly with several couples and over time I settled in and let my guard down.
Now, we are regulars! The trick is to feel comfortable and confident in the club, which takes time.

Hey Djwfd! Welcome!
I think many people (probably mostly men) can understand your question. Women can be confusing! My wife and I have been in the lifestyle for many years but it was a rocky start. She didn't want to know anything about swinging or the lifestyle so it took a few years to even get her to a club. Like some of the other folks have said, if you don't push when you go to clubs or resorts, it will make her feel more in control. Nobody wants to feel pushed or used so make sure you stay by her side and let her make the decisions. She might just surprise you over time. I know mine did! Well worth the time and effort. Right now she sulks because she wants to get out and go to the club!
